How was your weekend?
Mine was quite cruisey. I had a pony club gymkhana on Saturday where Chevy bought home 1st place overall for our age group. Yes, I am super duper proud of my pony! Then Sunday came with absolutely no plans. So, with Corey away for work at the moment we decided to take a little family road trip with no plans at all.
These seem to be my favourite type of getaways – where you have plenty of time to do whatever you want, without being in a rush!
We decided to head down a road we had never been before. We ended up driving alongside the fascinating Blackdown Tablelands where we ended up in a small community called Rolleston. After our full, yet short trip through Rolleston, we then headed west where we ended up in the community of Springsure. I had been to Springsure a few times before for things like pony club & my brother’s football – and I fall in love more and more every time. I find main street so cute!
Our stop at Springsure included a quick catch up with some of mum & dad’s old friends and lunch at the Caltex service station. After our little stop in Springsure, we then headed north where we ended up in Emerald and then back home.
The trip was approximately 350km (approx. 220 miles) and took us most of the day as we took our time. It was lovely to visit somewhere new, even though it was for a short time. It was also lovely to spend quality family time together once again.
Thanks for tuning in!
