Succulent DIY on a Budget

Today I thought I would share a few little succulent DIY projects that I have working on, that won’t burn a hole if your pocket, and only take 5 minutes!

Lately I have been going mad on Pinterest with anything to do with gardening! (If you follow my account you will understand). I have found out that I am utterly obsessed with cactus’s and succulents, to the point that whenever I see one, I can’t help myself but buy one… or a few.

DIY Terrarium:
Two weekends ago, Corey & I visited his family who were camping at the Gemfields, CQ. During our day with them, Sapphire were holding their monthly markets, where I walked out with 4 new succulents. All thanks to Pinterest I made my own terrarium at a total price of $33.00!

What you will need:

  • 4x succulents = $20.00
  • 1x vase = $5.50
  • Small bag of succulent potting mix = $7.50
  • Small stones/pebbles.

The best thing about this DIY project is that it only took my 15 minutes, and it looks so creative! Take this list as a guide, you may add as many succulents as you wish.

Mitre 10 succulent + pot:
The beauty about this DIY project, is that the design, flower and size can be completely up to you, plus it is so simple! I shopped at our local Mitre 10, which cost me a total of $17.00.

What you will need:

  • Succulent = $7.00
  • Pot = $9.99
  • Potting mix. (I used the same mix from my terrarium)

The DIY list of succulent projects is endless! I usually search through Pinterest where I find plenty of DIY projects catered for all levels. Go check it out!

Thanks for reading! Don’t forget to show me your DIY projects. I am always looking for more ideas.
