Today’s Motivation – Dr Seuss.

I’ve always loved Dr Seuss. From his awesome quotes, to his loving and funny movies. I’ve learnt a lot from these quotes just through the inspiration and motivation they hold.

Today I felt like sharing my all time favourite Dr Seuss quote. I remember in Year 8 (back in 2012), as a class we had to write down our favourite quote or something that meant a lot to us as an individual, put it in a time capsule and bury it. So I put this one.

“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.” – Dr Seuss.

I still refer back to this quote when I’m going through a bumpy stage. For example, during my last few months of high school last year, I had no idea what I wanted to do when I finished, and in all honesty, it’s no big deal if you finish school and have no plans. Things work out, as long as you do have the guts to steer yourself in any direction you choose. It’s all self motivation. Stay open, stay motivated, and stay you. Now I’m two months into a traineeship, and I love my job!

‘Horton Hears a Who’ (2008), and ‘The Lorax’ (2012), are both great Dr Seuss movies, and to be honest, even though they are children’s movies, they tell fantastic stories and give meaningful lessons. I love watching them! If you haven’t seen them, I highly recommend setting a date for a Dr Seuss movie night. You’ll walk away feeling so positive!

“Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive, who is you-er than you!” – Dr Seuss.

I love connecting with and meeting new people – so I’m less than a message/email away! Kay x
